Greg Scheig, CFA CPA
Mr. Scheig joined Vantage Point Advisors, Inc. with 30 years of consulting and valuation experience. Mr. Scheig holds an M.B.A in Finance and Accounting and a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering both from The University of Texas at Austin. He currently serves as a Board Member for Petroleum Engineers Club of Dallas and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Mr. Scheig has performed hundreds of valuations involving common stock, partnership units and financial derivatives. Assets valued have included oil and gas reserves, mineral interest, and renewable energy including solar and wind power projects. As an expert witness, Mr. Scheig has provided deposition and courtroom testimony in matters relating to tax valuations, bankruptcy, economic damages and utility regulatory matters in a variety of legal settings.
Prior to joining Vantage Point Advisors, Mr. Scheig worked with ValueScope, Inc., as their Energy Practice Leader working on valuations, expert testimony and financial advisory services with a focus on energy-related companies. Mr. Scheig was employed at several other valuation firms that include Kroll Associates, Inc. and CBIZ Valuation Group where he led their Dallas practices. Preceding his prior roles, he was a Senior Manager with both Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy Practice.
